Yes, I’m sitting in my favorite Panera Bread in the Frandor Shopping Center in East Lansing.
I spent part of yesterday driving around Portland with my sister and my neice and I have to say that right now – I’m not all the sure that Portland is the place for me. I have two minds on the issue.
One mind likes the small town very much.
The other mind sees one grocery store with the nearest Super Walmart or Meiers a half hour away.
I’ve been living in a small community for 12 years – but even though we live in the country, we are only two miles from all the good restaurants, movies and Walmart.
My neice and her hubby loves Portland. They both work in Lansing so they are ‘in town’ regularly – whereas I work at home so a trip for this or that is going to be major. I could see my car gas bills getting pretty high.
My sis and bro-in-law tossed out suggestions about Grand Ledge and even Mason. (Mason is where I went to school as a kid.) Mason would put me closer to my brother and his family.
*sigh* Decisions, decisions.
I have to make a smart choice – the right choice for Sean and I… I’ll be doing some more research and a lot of praying.
So, I’ll let you know how it comes out.
Hey… if you have input, thoughts or advice… please do share! I’m open to all the data I can get :)
