Aweber has surveyed their affiliates, studied the results and made some changes to their affiliate program to benefit everyone. If you haven’t signed up, it is a great time to do so now! Changes take effect April 8, 2009. The new changes include:

  • All commissions will be raised to 30%

  • They removed their second tier commission structure.

  • Affiliate cookie will be a one year, and it is a first visit cookie (if you and Jane are both promoting Aweber, and Sally visits their site from your link tomorrow and Jane’s link next week, you will get the commission.)

  • There will be an option to be paid by PayPal (available in the near future) or check.

  • You will be paid on the first of the month.

  • US affiliates will have a minimum payout of $30 and international affiliates $50 by PayPal or check. This means they will not pay you until your balance reaches $30 (for US) or $50 (for int’l).

If you aren’t promoting Aweber, you may want to sign up now for their program today.

I for one am happy with the changes. The two tier program was nice but I’ll be glad to earn the higher commissions on my own hard work as an affiliate.

I’m also pleased about the PayPal option.
