You got the perfect opportunity in an email or on a website. Put that credit card down and do the following:
Never send money unless you can talk to a person
I can not stress this enough. If you can talk to a physical person, more than likely it is a scam. If there isn’t a phone number on the website or the email, but you are being promised big bucks, simply walk away from it.
You need to talk to them and find out what you have to do to get those big bucks. How much time is required for this? What do you have to do? Do you need experience? What will your typical day be like? How will you get paid? What are the challenges that you will be facing?
Does it seem believable?
This is the hard one. You want to believe all the hype that is it out there. You want to believe that you can make a ton of money doing almost nothing. Well that’s simply not true. You are going to have to put effort into what you want to do.
So if you see something like, “Earn up to $5,000 a week! No skills required!” Pick up and run. I’m telling you to run from it. Is that really believable to you? It’s not to me.
Really think about it…
How much do lawyers make? Did they not have to train for it? Are you a lawyer? Don’t let the scammer make you feel even dumber when they run off with your money.
Ask about money back guarantees
They are going to tell you that there is one. But what you need to know is what you have to do to get it back. Look at that small print on documents. If you aren’t happy about something, then you will want to know what to do.
There may be cutoff times on those money back guarantees as well. In some cases, they tell you that you have 30 days to try it or they charge your credit card. My suggestion to you is that you right down that date on your calendar and put a reminder a week before in case you don’t like it.
Research the opportunity
We live in the time of computers. You can find out information about any topic online. Research! Research! Research!
Call your local Better Business Bureau for any complaints on the company. Now not all complaints are bad, if the company has been in business for a long time they might have a few. Take that with a grain of salt.
Basically use your common sense when making this decision.
