I’ve Gone Digital (With My Schedule)

Yes, I’ve done it!
I’ve switched my calendar over from pen and pencil over to keyboard and screen
Here’s my admission that a paper planner isn’t good enough anymore to keep up with my busy schedule and here is the one week update on how things are going.
I have to share three quick things with you.
- It is saving me time. No more writing out the calendar for the upcoming week. It’s just a matter of entering my regular appointments as ‘repeating events’ and it’s all set.
- It is saving me from accidental double booking. Try as I might, I was often making appointments without my planner open and this created a couple of embarassing snafus for me recently.
- It is going to make it easier to delegate more to my VA. When she can see my entire calendar online she can respond to more emails on her own and that brings us back to saving me time.
If you juggle multiple projects and do any kind of outsourcing - going digital with your schedule is a must do!

I don’t know… I’m still resisting this, but I don’t manage a team. Just a couple of VA. But I might get there one day.

I’m the opposite. I always did digital, but until I went back to paper and pen basics, I was never really organized.
In addition to planning a schedule on paper, I do a lot of general business planning on paper. I find turning off the computer and its distractions and etching the ideas into my head by physical writing, I plan and remember my obligations better.
I do use an online calendar for bookkeeping and other notes, but most of my scheduling is on good old fashioned paper. I love it!
I’ve been digital for about 4years now. I use my blackberry for my appointments and I’m also a member of a few joint google calendars when it comes to podcasting and booking appointments. I just love it!!

I often use both, can´t decide which one is faster. It´s a matter of being organized, I guess. I do search a lot for lost files and papers. Organizing my work has been a close “friend” over the years.

The more you use an on-line calendar the more you’ll love it!
I recently switched from Outlook to Google Calendar, I think sharing info. is easier with Google
