I’ve never been afraid… but she is. Please help.

My heart is breaking right now. I’ve just read about a mom of four kids who is somewhere out there tonight trying to break free from a horribly abusive relationship.

Read this and watch the video.
I’m a single mom.  I’ve had some rough times in my life but I have NEVER had be be afraid of someone or had to flee my home and friends to escape abuse.  I cannot fathom what she has to be going through and feeling right now. If I could go pick her and her children up and bring them home I would in a heart beat.
Major Kudos to Jason Moffatt for stepping up to share Cy’s story and for calling on others to help.

I’m sending Cy some money and I ask as many of you as possible to do the same.

And please lift her up in prayer.  Ask God to protect her and her children and make the way straight for them to escape the violence once and for all.

I just blogged about this and now I’m on my way to send her some money!

I can’t imagine being in that situation, and would love to be able to help more than just praying for them. Maybe in a couple of weeks I can do that.

My mother was abused by my father for years. Black eyes, broken bones, head injuries…etc. I know how bad that is. We didn’t have anyone sending money our way…my mom had to do it on her own.

I’mn proud of her for breaking free even if it took awhile. I’m proud of the strong woman she is and that she ended up marrying a wonderful man the second time around.

I wish nothing but the best for this woman and hope she can make a better life for her and the kids. I do hope she takes advantage of the services and people in her local area that can help, too.
