If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you never miss a thing! Thanks for visiting!

I have long promoted Amazon as an Amazon Associate. I’ve cashed in many a gift certificate with my earnings over the years. A book here, a gadget there. Nothing big or exciting really. I would have promoted Amazon products more if it had only been easier to grab a link on the fly.

(Edited to add: I just got another email from Amazon Associates.  They’ve discontinued the gift certificate payout option - just want to let you know in case you look for it.)

Those of you who have been promoting Amazon links know what I’m talking about. The process of grabbing an affiliate link was long and gangly.

The fresh revamp of the Amazon Associates website and the introduction of the new Site Stripe feature is just the sort of easy access I’ve been looking for.

Now you can quickly grab a link to a specific product or page. You can also add a specific product to your aStore.

I’m a happy affiliate :) I’ll be promoting more books, gadgets and home products, thus monetizing more of my content.

Today’s Topic: Can You Take Big Enough Action For Your Big Dreams?

I have big dreams for my business.  Some have come to fruition.  Some have flopped.  Some are still dreams - yet shapeless hopes that call to me from the future.

As an internet based business coach I get to talk to a lot of moms with dreams.  I feel my role as a coach carried heavy responsibility to both encourage my clients to reach for their dreams and to help them understand the reality of their ideas.

On today’s show I’m talking about big business dreams and how we can begin to give them shape and decide if it’s a dream we really want to pursue or not.

PR: ScrapVenture Changes Hands—and Direction

by Tishia on October 16, 2008

Popular Business Resource for Scrapbooking Businesses Narrows Focus

(GRANITE CITY, IL. October 14, 2008) ScrapVenture, a family of authority websites specializing in scrapbooking as a business, has been purchased by Dawn Stegall and is changing direction to focus on online business owners.

“I have been a fan and customer of ScrapVenture since its beginning,” said Stegall. “When I saw the sites were being sold, I knew this was a project that played to my skills. I’ve been an entrepreneur for 20 years, with nine years specifically in the scrapbooking industry. I immediately saw new and exciting directions the sites could take.”

Founded in 2007 by Vera Raposa, ScrapVenture taught scrapbookers how to profit from their scrapbooking passion. The family of websites acted as a business center, providing articles, reports and e-courses to scrapbook business owners.

“I wanted to show women how to follow their passion and make an income that would help support their family,” said Raposa.

Originally the site cast a broad net—offering resources for online stores, brick and mortar store, kit clubs, scrapbook forums and custom scrapbook artists.

“The end goal is exactly the same,” notes Stegall. “We help women make a career out of their hobby. The change in direction is additional resources for the online entrepreneur specifically. We are increasing the frequency of content, information and one-on-one attention, with an emphasis on online marketing.”

The trio of authority websites includes Scrap Venture Reports which offers detailed, industry specific reports; Scrap Venture Coaching, a virtual one-on-one coaching option; and the flagship product, Scrap Venture Pro which is a complete, year-long resource for the scrapbook business owner. All three product lines are being strengthened and supplemented with new content, data and research.

“The online scrapbook business owner now has a place to gain hands-on knowledge, individualized coaching and valuable research in order to assist them in their business venture,” said Stegall. “Look for even more dynamic information products, reports and insight into the online scrapbooking business.”
