Working at Home

I really enjoyed my whirlwind visit with my sister.  Wednesdays are often her day off from the post office and it also happens to be my sister in law’s day off – so I got to see both of them plus my grown neice and her little girl plus my brother’s kids.  It was a nice time!

I never made it over to Panera Bread though – that’s the only dim mark on the trip ;)  That’s ok though because it means I avoided checking my email for the whole time. That I liked.

I’ve been debating the idea of delegating my email to my VA for sometime and one the way home from Lansing last night I gave it some more thought.

I spend a lot of time responding to daily email.  A large amount of it could be handled easily by someone else and even more could be delegated with some training and planning… but it feels really strange to imagine not checking email.

Still – if I don’t check email all day – I could probably claim two hours or more for more fruitful work… and gain more free time for me overall.

So, I’m ready to give it a go.  (Yikes!)  I’ll let know you know how it’s all turning out after the holidays.
