It’s Driving Me Mad Not To Check!

Working at Home

I have a statistics addiction and I’m trying to break the habit.

I’ve gotten pretty good at not checking my website statistics every day.  Some websites I only check once a month.  Others once a week.  But there are sometimes when I’m trying something new as a promotional tactic and I’m so curious about the results that I want to keep running back to the stats to see how things are going.

The truth is that with most things you can’t really learn much from one day’s results or even from several day’s results.  You have to observe the results over time.

So here I am trying not to log into my stats and it’s making me antsy!

Can you relate?

  • Oh...too funny! I can totally relate! Sometimes I check my stat two or more times a day. I know, I know, a bad habbit. I'm trying to break it.
  • Kelly I'm the same, I can avoid checking them all the time but when I'm trying something new I tend to check it alot more often to see if the changes I'm making is working... then I end up in Stats Heaven! LOL!

  • I don't have that addiction. Of course, I don't do much to bring in traffic to my site and blog, but I always forget about checking stats.

Kelly, how do you keep track of all the sites that you have?
Could you give us an idea on how to make a worksheet for that?

    Thanks,

    Marie

I actually don't have that addiction any longer. I only check them once per month now. I used to be terribly addicted to my stats, though.

I also don't check my google adsense and paypal funds a couple times per day any longer.

I'm not sure what happened...I just stopped wanting to. lol
