Working at Home

It’s Saturday and that means I have just a day and a half left on my hiatus from Work at Home Moms Talk Radio and Mom’s Morning Show.

I have really enjoyed the time off.  I’ve spent very little time on the computer these past three weeks.   Most of the time I monitored email through my BlackBerry. (I’m so glad that I bought that!)

I can’t claim to have had much ‘down time’ since I’ve been spending 12-18 hours a day helping with the quads at my niece’s house.  Still, all the time spent snuggling has been giving my brain a much needed rest from thoughts of business – and it helped me to really think things through and regain clarity about my purpose and focus.

As a WAHM with a seventeen year old son, I’ve known that I had it pretty easy as for as work at home moms go.  It’s easy to forget how challenging it is to focus on business and get work done when you have a baby in your arms or on your knee.

Today I sat down to do some email and blogging with one of my sweet quadlings and had a crash course in the challenges of one handed typing.  So to all the moms who manage to function online with little ones at home – I salute you!

I’ll be back in action with a new show this Monday morning – and Mom’s Morning Show will be back too – with a fresh new focus that I know you’ll love, so please join us!  (We broadcast live online at 10:30am Eastern Time.)

Meanwhile, Brody and I hope that you enjoy your weekend!

What an adorable picture. I am glad to hear that you were able to get some clarity and refocus though your late nights.

I have yet to listen to the morning show. But I am looking forward to listening on Monday.

I hope you have a great rest of the weekend.

So glad you enjoyed your Christmas break and the quads are doing so well. It will be nice to hear you in the mornings again, I’ve missed the morning show :)

I absolutely agree, Kelly. When my kids were out of school for Holiday break… woah! It was very difficult to be as productive as normal. Keep on cuddling those babies—and, enjoy, Auntie Kel.

  6. Laurie Ayers Says:

Glad you enjoyed some time off – although it hardly sounds like down time! Kiss those babies for all your mommy friends!

It really is a struggle to balance everything with little ones at home. Everyday meets me with some new challenges and some of the old.

Glad you’re enjoying your time and the little guy is certainly a cutie pie! I can’t even imagine how wild it is with four babies!
