Last week’s Mom’s Morning Show guest Tammy Gibson of A Mom in Red High Heels encouraged us to take some time to put ourselves together – even if we are stay at home/work at home moms.
Well, I hadn’t worn a bit of makeup in about a month and a half and my mascara was dried out and my favorite lipstick was down to about a centimeter, so this morning I made a quick stop to Rite Aid and picked up some makeup :)
I’m no glamour girl.. but here I are:

I love this picture =) You look so much like one of my friends!

you look fab! but you didn’t tell us how it makes you feel? i wear make-up everyday because it makes me feel good – and ready to take on the day!

Hottie! But the question is, do you have on red high heels, too? Hehe
January 28th, 2008 at 11:54 am
Cara, yes – I suppose I do feel a bit fab this morning ;)
January 28th, 2008 at 11:55 am
Chele, oh no… it’s been a long time since I’ve touched a pair of heels LOL!
January 28th, 2008 at 2:18 pm
Great job, Kelly! What are you wearing? I love to hear about specific products and colors! Do tell! :)

Kelly I think you’re beautiful. I can’t believe your hair isn’t red naturally because you have such a red headed complexion!
As for me, I like to at least curl my eyelashes and put on a dab of lip color and a teensy bit of something under my eyes – I’m pale and have dark circles. Ya never know when the UPS man is coming by… LOL!

Hi Tammy! It’s just simple maybelline stuff. I can’t find a color on the lipstick tube. It’s a twist up container… not sure I like that or not yet ;)

Carrie, you’re so sweet :)
I know, I like being a redhead too! But – I like this hair color a little bit more.
:)

Doesn’t it make you feel good? More confident? I learned to get dressed to my toes after my daughter was born almost 5 years ago, to make me feel human again after just having my first baby. To this day I still do it, and it helps my confidence in business as well. Now the make-up…I’m with ya on the dried out mascara…hehe

Let’s try this again (last comment didn’t post)...
You are a beauty! Very lovely and natural.
I try to wear lipstick nearly everyday – a little light powder and blush. I like to look awake LOL
January 28th, 2008 at 10:15 pm
LOL! ‘Awake’ just might be an issue tonight… I’m skating by on about four and a half hours sleep ;)
And thank you :) You all make me feel so blessed.

Kelly I just listened to your Utterz and it occured to me that you and Sean TOTALLY need a couple of baby slings to help make taking care of those babies a bit easier! I had a friend with twins who could wear two at a time with two pouches, one slung over each shoulder. Even if you only wore one baby to calm it down, you could have hands free to feed or play with another.
:-)

Kelly I love the color of your eyes, very blue. :-)
January 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
LOL! Yes you are Kelly :-)
I really enjoy wearing make-up, but it’s such a pain when it comes time to take it off at night. I really don’t like the eye make-up remover because it’s so greasy, so I just use a wet cloth and I end up wiping away mascara from around my eyes for the next couple of days. Ugh!
I’m thinking I’m going to have to see if they still make clear coloured mascara. I had some when I was a teen, but haven’t looked for it or used it since, so I don’t even know if they still have it.

Kelly… YOU are a natural beauty. I still can’t get over your hair being straight. Here all this time I thought you had naturally curly hair.
You look fabulous though and have inspired me to go to Target and pick up some makeup. I know Scott would probably love seeing his new wifey in some make-up ever once in a while.

I love the picture! I haven’t actually come to the site in a while rather than reading the feed and I love the look.

I think that is great advice. It is good to get dolled up once in awhile.
