It’s hard to keep up on the now, what’s happening in the world of Work at Home Mom’s, especially in this community where the term “work at home mom” collides with the new term “mommy blogger”.
The lines are blurred on this particular point to which is what and what is which. I figure if you are a mom, who makes mommy from home you’re a work at home mom. If you make money from blogging, you’re a mommy blogger too (not instead of).
It is my desire and honest vision to bring back some of that old school blogging. It’s like this, I can handle commercials on TV but I loathe, despise, and can NOT stand infomercials. I hope this metaphor gives you the feel of what I am talking about. I want to steer away from the PR style sites and get back to the basics of blogging and some good ol’ fashion affiliate marketing.
Now in the realm of my design business, I have some enormous visions for my designs, not just my web design graphics. I have huge ideas on how to incorporate my paintings and other aspects of my art into more of a business, rather than a hobby type deal. I have been researching for the past year different avenues.
Last year I began going to farmers/craft markets and setting up my items getting the feel for selling my crafts and art offline. The feedback was excellent, the experience wonderful.
I met another artist at a few of the same venues whose sketches are absolutely beautiful, who also gave me some major pointers on getting my paintings seen, as in gallery showings. He also gave me a great how to on how to set up my prints myself to save money & still present them professionally.
Visions are just those visions. They become something more once you put some action behind them, they become a desire.
If you desire something to work enough towards seeing it happen, then you vision has become a successfully reality.
I have the vision, the desire I am working on the rest!

As a WAHM it is very important to be able think outside of the box. There are many ways to accomplish your financial goals while still fulfilling your desire to be home for your family. Some of my best contacts and clients have come from just putting myself “out there” and seeing where the trail leads.
You sound like you're on the right path to making your visions reality.
Fantastic job with this post. Expect you’d post more often though. A good number of people can gain from it.
