Pay Per Post Pro or Con?

Working at Home

Heather introduced the topic of Pay Per Post on our Mom Mastermind’s forum and it has generated some interesting opinions.

What do I think about Pay Per Post?

I think I’d like to be an advertiser – I mean I love it when people blog about me.  I would gladly pay the likes of Lynn Terry and others to blog about my podcast, my PLR site, my information products.

I won’t be posting for pay here on this blog – not because I have a bad opinion of it but because I just don’t feel like it’s a good fit for this blog.

I may post for pay on another blog – I have a few that it might be quite appropriate for.  I’m still in the exploration stage for that.

Speaking of Lynn Terry, she’s posting for pay and asking for opinions from her readers on how they feel about it.  I read her blog all the time – and I have to admit that the first moment I realized she was blogging for pay, I was suprised.  But – I realize it’s no different that blogging to promote an affiliate program.  I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Lynn won’t say she likes something that she doesn’t like.

Blogging about something the generates income is a good thing.  How that income comes isn’t all that important so long as you’re ethical and honest about it.

Righto?

  • You'd be smart to get in on the advertiser side, Kelly ;) I know I'd pick up the opps! I'm actually looking at the advertiser side myself as this looks like an awesome way to purchase quality text links and also generate some genuine buzz at the same time.

I appreciate your vote of support. I am doing this as a case study as much as anything else, and so far I am impressed with the results. I'll publish them in full by the end of next month (and of course in tidbits along the way!).

    Best,
    Lynn Terry
