Last week on Mom's Morning Show we followed the theme of "Wordpress Blogging: Having Fun and Making Money! It was a great series of conversations on everything from fun blog memes to ways that we monetize our blogs. If you missed out on the live shows, you must go listen to the archive or subscribe via iTunes so that you get each day's show downloaded automatically. I'll be giving a quick recap of the week on today's show - so you can grab your reader's digest version right now! I found a fantastic blog post during the week that outlines 31 things that you can do to becoming a better blogger. I'm so impressed with the ideas that I have asked Mom Mastermind's members to join me in working through the 31 steps on a new section of our forum. A lot of MMers have joined in and it's not too late for you to join Mom Masterminds and get in on the fun. I also learned about two really cool blog accessories that I've implemented.
During our Q & A time on Friday Cara asked about where to find good graphics to include in your blog posts. Several listeners gave suggestions in the open webchat area and Lynette Chandler posted a list of suggested graphic resources on her blog. Speaking of Lynette Chandler and blogging... Lynette and Alice Seba are teaming up to offer a special Blogging Bootcamp for internet marketers. The course starts in March. Sign up to be notified about registration here. We gave away a lot of Chocolate on Friday, following our Valentine's Day Blogging Marathon. Carrie Lauth won first place with 35 blog posts in one day. Barbara Ryan and Annette Yen came in second and third and Shannon Smith won the last chance drawing. Lastly, I'm talking about Project Wonderful, an interesting new way to monetize your blogs and other websites. Extra Resource: Check out Bloggeries.com. They have a forum just for bloggers.
Do you have a question about how to get rolling with your business? Use our Listener's Line to call in your questions (Call my Listener's Line at (214) 615-6505 ext 9115.) or feel free to email it to me. Maybe I'll answer your question on next week's show.
For the WAHM and her family, P.S. Click here if you would like a CD copy of this week's show. |
