Working at Home

twitterIs Twitter still a big mystery for you?  I hear you.  I did not get it either for awhile.  But it is a powerful force in the business world that will continue to grow in popularity for a few more years, at least, and that is why it is worth it to you to take some time to learn it.  These are just three things things that I have gained as a result of being active on Twitter:

  • I learned about Kelly’s Profitable Mommy Blogging internship program (and here I am now!)

  • I learned about an opportunity to be a guest on Erin Blaskie’s blog (here is the post I wrote).  I got 40 hits to my website the next day from her blog, and sold one product of hers as an affiliate.

  • I am hob-nobbing, chatting directly with, and learning from, my business mentors every day!  (Want to know who some of them are? Look here.)

Twitter Means Business: How microblogging can help or hurt your company by Julio Ojeda-Zapata is one of the best places to get started.  It sells for $17.95 plus shipping on Amazon.  But don’t just take my word for it!  Read a book review by Tami Metzler of The Write Associate.

Yay! So glad that it worked out for you!

It’s true—Twitter really is an important part of business and an important tool for relationship building. I couldn’t live without it. :)
