Ripping up magazines for ideas

Working at Home

I was inspired this week when I interviewed Jennifer Swanson for my show. (She’ll be on Monday).  She is a professional organizer.  I told her that I had a stack of magazines waiting for my attention.  I know they have ideas in them that I want to raid for article and show topics – but I haven’t made the time.

Well, today I am taking the time!

I’m going to go through this massive stack and rip out the pages and cut out the snip that are important to future projects and then I’m throwing the rest in the fire pile.

Edited to add:  This is taking a REALLY long time and I’m not enjoying it as much in the second hour as I did in the first hour!

But, I have found some great topic starter material here :)

What kind of organization issues are you hoping to tackle soon?

  • My mind needs to be organized. lol.
  • I did that with my jewelry magazines - and then I put all of the pages into a binder. I agree, it isn't as fun the second hour.

But at the end it is totally worth it!

I just did a little organizing today though I need to get my desk in order.
