Several times a week Sean (my homeschooled seventeen year old son) instant messages me (from the next room) to tell me he wants this or that gadget for his ipod or his xbox or his computer.
Since all of these gadgets cost crazy money, I reply with the standard ‘Get a job kid :)’.
In all truth, I don’t really want him to get a job working at some fast food joint when with some steady effort he could make as much online and avoid the inevitable smell of grease on his clothing.
I’ve been trying to get him to blog since he was about eleven without any success until this week… he comes to me and says ‘Mom, can you give me an affiliate lesson?’
(It’s a WAHM’s dream come true.)
You can catch his blogging at Listen With This.

Hi Kelly,
So glad that Sean has FINALLY decided to follow his mom’s footsteps.
Wishing him all the best success with his blog.

I knew eventually he would end up blogging – I mean how could he not? LOL. He’s too game & computer geeky for me ;-) I did post about the plantronics headset cause that’s the only thing I could relate with…LOL.

Cute Kelly! I feel the same way about the teenagers and jobs thing.

I like Sean’s comments about why he started this blog! Simple and to the point (and true, afterall m-o-m doesn’t spell bank!). I’ll share his blog with my 15 year old son whose sentiment is very much the same (plus he loves those gadgets/hearing devices…).

Oh no, I have guilt! ;) My son has been asking to start a blog for ages, but we haven’t gotten to it yet.
I’d better get my act together!

I’m so impressed with what he’s done so far. For a kid who HATED to do any kind of writing for school, he’s doing really well don’t you think?
