Jenn Cangelosi of Boutique Bargains (a membership site that teaches you how to make money by buying and selling children’s boutique clothing) is pretty darned smart. When she joined Twitter she got very proactive in seeking out people that she shares a common interest with.
Jenn wanted to follow and be followed by other people who use ebay so she searched for ‘ebay’ and ‘auctions’. She also searched for some other key phrases that laser targeted the very people she most wanted to network with.
Using Twitter’s search function you can find people by their location (if they’ve provided it) or phrases and words they’ve used in their profiles.
I tried it tonight by searching for ‘wahm’ and ‘internet marketing’ and I found 50+ new moms to follow. Some I recognize from the community but many more I’ve never seen before so I’m pretty geeked about making these new contacts :)
I even found a WAHM in my own town.
Why not give the search function a try and see who you can find to make a connection with?
And of course, follow me on Twitter!

I’ve been off the grid working on a project and now I feel so behind. Two days away from twitter and the world shifts! LOL! This search function will help me considerably. Thanks for the tip Kelly!
