Working at Home

Sparkplugging has a tradition called ‘Spark an Idea Thursday’. Each week they share some great ideas for a topic of interest to their readers. They invite everyone to grab the image and carry the tradition through to your own blog! If you do, please link back to this post so we know where you were inspired!

This week we’re Sparking an Idea about Email

I am love, love, loving MailChimp!  It is so not your average mailing list/campaign manager.  It makes all others look like a big snooze-fest!  Here is why I love it so:  twitchimp

  • It took me like, no time at all, to whip up a signup box for my blog with a freebie report to give away through an autoresponder.

  • When I wrote my first email campaign I was amazed by the selection and variety of templates.  Definite personality!

  • When I finished my first email campaign I hit one button and Tweeted the link to it.

  • Don’t have time to email AND blog?  Do both at the same time (and scrap Feedburner or Feedblitz) by using MailChimp’s ‘RSS to Email’ feature.

  • All of this for the low price of FREE (free for small mailings lists, anyway).  Once I reach 100 subscribers or send 600 emails, I can pay $10 per month or pay as I go buy purchasing email credits. $9 will get you 300 credits.

MailChimp loves Twitter!  Got a question for them? @MailChimp
