This week’s ‘Spark an Idea!’ theme at Sparkplugging is ‘Making a New Business Ally.”
As a work-at-home mom, I have found that it takes an incredible amount of planning to venture out into the real world for a real business meeting. It is an absolute must, though, to make face-to-face connections in your local community. So when I make my recommendation to join your local Chamber of Commerce, I know that can be a challenge! Typically, though, fees are reasonable, and your attendance at meetings could be just once a month. And the possibilities to find a new business ally are many!
- You could find other local businesses to partner with to offer enhanced services.
- You could donate your product or service at a meeting or community event to draw attention to your business.
- You could gain special access to mailing lists.
- You could volunteer and make many new connections.
