What a great way to finish up 2011, don’t you think?

You’ve probably heard the buzz about Affiliate Marketing but if you are like most you aren’t really sure what Affiliate Marketing is or even how it can impact your business. I was actually asked by Kelly McCausey to review one of her products that’s focused to helping you create your own Affiliate Program. So I would like to tell you a little about affiliate marketing and then what I think of the program itself.

Let me first start by explaining what this is that everyone keeps talking about. Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts. Now, what does that really mean? That means that you will have other people promoting your offer through their ezine, blogging, ads, tweeting and so on. Now lets think about that for a minute, that means the people that have chosen to be apart of this persons mailing list and have chosen to follow them on twitter will be receiving their messages because they decided they wanted to hear what this person has to say and chances are they trust this persons recommendations!

Best of all you wont pay them a dime unless they make a sell from their marketing efforts. That can seriously impact your business and save your tons of time and money! If you are a Work at Home Mom we all know that time is money! Not to mention it will get your product in front of tons more people that you may not have been able to reach alone.

It sounds simple enough and a no-brainer as to why it is very important that you have an affiliate program to maximize your marketing efforts. The real question is how do you go about getting an affiliate program started for your business? An affiliate program can be a challenge to set up and be successful. One thought is to hire someone to do it for you, but that can create a challenge if you are short on funds. Another option is to barter with someone but what if you don’t offer anything that is of need to them? Then your barter won’t work. So what I am about to go over could truly be the guidance you need to get your affiliate program up off the ground.

As I previously mentioned that I was asked by Kelly to review one of her programs that focuses on this very topic. So I grabbed me an ice-cold diet Pepsi, my warm fuzzy blanket and went to town on absorbing the information that she provided.
