Working at home can get lonely, but I find that joining a couple of social networks can really help. Twitter is my virtual water cooler, I've been able to connect with other like minded individuals and catch up on the latest news. I've also joined a local business group that meets on a monthly basis – this has also really helped in the socializing department.
For finding a work at home opportunity, I would suggest Flex Jobs. They screen all of the positions before posting so you can rest assured that they are legit and they are a member of the Better Business Bureau.
