Hey Sharon! You just highlighted another really good reason to hire a coach and that is to gain accountability and urgency to complete a project. Just knowing that someone is going to check in with you each week creates a lot of momentum :)

I am looking forward to coaching with you and seeing your podcast launch at last!

Diana, I like what you said about finding the 'right fit'. I've found that I am not the right fit for everyone. I am good for those who want to skip the fluff and get down to nuts and bolts and plain spoken feedback. I'm glad you enjoy working with me because I enjoy working with you! You're an amazing business woman and your podcast will be great!

Patty, kudos on starting your podcast! You should consider joining us at MomsTalkRadio.com :)

The biggest thing that picked up business for me was aligning myself with others through partnerships and other smaller joint ventures. When your reach is small you have to link up with those who have more influence :)

I know your time and money is tight, but grab the first chance you get to tap into a coaching relationship, whether it's one on one or group, you will not regret it!

Hi Kelly,

Your post really caught my attention. I have been following you and some of your fellow masterminds for a couple years. You are all quite inspiring. Then I had another baby this past year and lost some of my momentum.

I have recently launched my own talk radio show for moms, MamasTimeOut, along with a social network. I have been doing a lot of the self-educating online myself because I have always enjoyed computers and the Internet. It is a lot of work and time as you mentioned.

While I enjoy these things, it can also take away from my focus and my goals. It would be great to learn from you. What holds me back is not enough time and finances and not knowing someone I can trust on a more personal level. I understand that things take time and nothing will happen overnight, but with some guidance and determination I might get there a little faster.

I guess what I'd like to know most is how you grow your business? What one thing really picked up business for you? Through networking, advertising, articles, media, podcasting, word of mouth or something else?

Wow, this post ended up long...hope to hear from you!
Thanks for the topic!

Oh, just by coincidence - I have a coaching session with Kelly tomorrow morning!

To start my podcast.

I love coaching and being coached.

I've always loved continuing education, and in the past 5 years I've spent thousands of dollars on coaching and mentoring and teleclasses and online learning.

But you have to get the "right" one. I had a coach who was not the right fit, during 2003, and then in 2005 I was so thrilled to find Mom Masterminds for group mentoring, and then also Kelly, for one-on-one coaching.

I'd certainly highly recommend Kelly's coaching - she really helped me focus more, and now I'm sure she will also be terrific in coaching me to finally start my podcast (which I've been talking about for about a year now)....!
Thanks, Kelly!

I've always been a cheerleader for continuing education, but coaching was new to me until I met you last spring. For those of us that have a limited amount of time to dedicate to self-learning I think coaching is a great way to make sure you're on the right track and not wasting your time with the wrong materials and initiatives. I've only been online for less than a year, but I don't think I would have earned a dime without your one on one coaching and Mom Masterminds.

This reminds me I've been talking about launching a podcast the 1st quarter of this year but have - not - done - it. And I know why - I let the notion mull around in my mind for too long - I need a coach!

Talk to you soon!
