While reading WAHMZone’s May newsletter, I ran across WAHCheck. WAHCheck is a website that lists and rates thousands of work-at-home opportunities. Their tagline is “Don’t work from home until you do a WAHCheck.” The reviews are written by WAHCheck reviewers, and then users are given the chance to add their own rating on a scale of 1 to 5 and make comments. I decided to dig in and see what the website is all about.
- HUGE pro: The site is very comprehensive in listing work-at-home opportunities, and they are all legitimate. I found many opportunities I had never heard about before, and it includes a broad spectrum of of jobs and businesses.
- Pro: The site is entirely free.
- Pro: The descriptions of each opportunity are very thorough, including an overview of the company and job, any costs associated with starting up, equipment needed, how to find out more information, and any other thoughts and opinions of the reviewer.
- Con: I am not sure how long this website has been around, but it is in need of more users to give their own reviews. Sure, the big companies like Mary Kay and Avon have been reviewed by users, but others like Daisy Blue Naturals and Lia Sophia have not. I think it is a great resource, and encourage you to add your review of any work-at-home or direct sales companies you have been involved with.
- Con: You can visit the forums to chat with other like-minded moms, but the forums are not as active yet as they might be in the future.

Working at Home
