I’m away from home most of the weekend. I leave Friday evenings to go stay with my niece (who is expecting quads) while her husband works midnights and I stay until he gets up in the afternoon. Then I come home for a few hours to relax and then I head back again for another night and day.
She’s 20 weeks now and has already been on bedrest for a while. She had an ultrasound this week and learned that they are having two girls and two boys and they’re looking great! We’re so pleased that so far she’s had no serious complications.
Bedrest means bedrest though. She can’t do anything but use the restroom and take an occassional shower and with a four year old around the house – this is challenging. Between grandparents, great-grandparents and me – we’re all covering the calendar and helping out every way that we can.
I can’t stop counting my blessings. That I have a home business that gives me the freedom to stop and help out whenever needed.
This has me wondering – in what ways has the freedom of your home business made your life more enjoyable?
Is it being able to help out family and friends?
Is it the freedom to travel?
Is it just the joy of sleeping in that makes you smile?
Tell me! Count your Home Business Blessings on your own blog this weekend and be sure to link back here so that I get the ping and can come read your post :)

The ability to be my kid’s primary caretakers is the big one.
I also love being able to spend my time doing what I want to do… it’s work but it’s also enjoyable.
I like being able to take off in the middle of the day to head to the park or take the kids out for lunch or on a field trip, and get my work done at other times. Flexibility!
I earn 2 1/2 times what I earned at my full time job that I left when my first kid was born. And I also enjoy quite a bit of passive income which I never had before!
I’m very very thankful!
Oops, I didn’t do that right Kelly. You said to post it on our own blog… ok I’ll do that now. See, I don’t follow instructions very well, no wonder I’m self employed. LOL!
Hi Kelly, I’m so glad to be able to work at home because I’m a single mom and if I worked a regular job I’d have to leave my children elsewhere to be taken care of. I’d rather be the one to take care of my children.
Have A Great Day!…and…

Kelly, I just posted on my blog too. :-) It was great to really think about it all.
I just blogged about my blessings too Kelly – thanks for reminding me to count my blessings!
