Weekend Wrap Up

Working at Home

Hey there :)  There’s no WAHM Talk Radio this week and I apologize for the lack of notice about that.  The holiday weekend snuck up on me. (Does anyone else feel like it came early this year?)

It’s been busy around here lately.  Squeezing in extra things is never easy.  I am still on nightly Quad Watch.  Willow, Max, Piper and Brody are doing great.  Starting this week we are making a concerted effort to help them sleep more at night.  This means that my son is no longer going to come for night time Quad Watch, but rather he will come at dawn when they start to get up and stay up.

I’ll be on my own for the night shift and since I’m naturally quieter (No movies or video games running all night)  and I keep the lights low, we hope that they’ll stop thinking that it’s social time.

Tonight went well.  All four woke up, ate and went back to sleep.  Then three of them were back up just a few hours later for more bottle and a diaper change.  Only little Willow insisted on some time and attention beyond that.  Piper wins the medal for sleeping the most :)

We’ll see how this goes. We’d really like to see them sleeping straight through from 10 to 6 soon. I don’t mind being alone here at night at all.  I have gotten a lot of writing done and managed to listen to some favorite podcasts by headphones.

Sean’s cousin was married this weekend so he tolerated me taking him shopping for a new pair of shoes, slacks and a nice shirt.  (He hates letting me pick out clothes for him anymore.) He looked handsome :)

Yesterday we drove down to Detroit to pick up his friend Michael who had flown in from Colorado.  Sean has been friends with Michael online for a couple of years now.  It started with a video game (of course) and somehow blossomed into a full friendship.  It was so cool to meet him face to face and we’re looking forward to having him for about a week long visit.

Some of you may remember me asking for prayer for him awhile back.  His father passed away of Luekemia last month :(

I twittered (do you follow me on Twitter?) about his coming on Friday and said I was jealous. (Really!) I’m jealous that Sean got to meet one of his online pals before I have had a chance to meet any of mine!

Oh well, my turn will come ;)

  • Kelly, those quads could be yours! They look just like you. Definite family resemblence!
  • Hey Kelly,

Those quads are just adorable! It seems to me like you're quite a blog master, and WAHM Talk Radio sounds like a great concept. That being said, I wanted to run this by you.

I'm an official Microsoft ambassador and right now we're really trying to scale up our connections with influential bloggers like yourself. I'd love to share with you some of the stuff we've been doing in the last couple months to help women entrepreneurs; we're really committed to providing all the necessary resources to help women start, grow and expand their business.

We just wrapped up a women's entrepreneurial tour across the US; the response and turn-out was great!

I'd really love your take on these offerings we have right now; I would have contacted you via email but I didn't know which was the best way to reach you.

Thank you so much, I hope I didn't overstep my bounds by directly contacting you. Definitely get back to me if I’ve piqued your interest-- I’d love to share more info with you.

    Best,
