Weigh In, April 28, 2010

I gained .6 pounds.  My weight in is 349.4 this week.

I’m sad to see even a little gain, but I know where it came from.  I did some mindless eating on Sunday and went overboard with some potato chips yesterday.

I have started walking.  I’m so inspired by Tishia and Mary and their 5K accomplishment!

Sorry I have no picture!  My iphone camera shutter is stuck… has anyone ever seen that before?  My phone actually froze up last night when I had left the camera open.  I hope it’s not permanent.

I had my assistant Heather verify the weight in just to be accountable LOL!

Kelly I am so proud of you for your efforts! You are really doing a great job! And I really like having someone to walk with sometimes!! Keep up the good work and don't beat yourself up about the gain. :)

  2. Hey Kelly ~ I too am so proud of Mary and Tishia for doing the 5k! I've done anything like that but it's on my goal list. I have some health issues I'm trying to get under control (arthritis, fybromyalgia, and chronic back pain) so I'm losing weight and taking on a very healthy lifestyle (regular exercise and healthy eating). How far do you walk now?

Not Far! LOL! Last year I was walking over a mile a few times a week but this year I've been going .3 and .6. I bought some new shoes which will help me step it up once I've got them broken in.

I have a cranky back too – but seeing my chiro regularly keeps me in tip top shape – thank you God!

I'm so proud of you too Kelly! :) I would like to suggest to you and everyone that sugar may be the culprit to your back pain, fibro and other issues. I've been doing a lot, a TON of research on it, and the refined, white sugar that is in the processed foods we eat is horrible for you. Our table sugar is not natural sugar and has negative nutritional value…in other words it is worse than having no nutritional value. It can actually cause things like fibro, kidney disease, liver disease, and so much more. Try limiting your sugar intake to 15 or 20 grams a day. And avoid “white” foods because they contain “enriched flour”. Oh geez. I could go on and on. Think I need to write a blog post about it :) Anyway, sugar is BAD for you and simply cutting down on the amount you eat could actually reverse some of your health issues :)
