Thanks for the mention on your show. :--)

I agree with Work at Home Mom Tara --- most of the "WAHM" sites are total junk. They are just rip offs of other junk WAHM sites the owners have seen and think to be successful.

Hardly any of them are organized well, filled with good unique quality content and resources and information. And many are so littered with junky ads you can't wade through the junk to even find the few good articles they have.

I only know of a few WAHM sites I'd ever go to in order to learn or recommend to others. I think if anyone wanted to start another WAHM site they'd need to put quality first and then look how to monetize. I have a feeling many do it the other way around and it shows.

Kelly,
Great topic here! I can remember many years ago when there were just a few wahm websites. Over the last few years they have been popping up everywhere, but most act only as an ad dump and offer no real content for the site visitors.

Great show. I find it very interesting. I took had/have a hankering to start a WAHM Site...but I knew that, aside from my ability to study & teach business principals, thoroughly plan and organize and find great solutions -- I didn't really have anything "new" to say. Which is why I have thought about doing a site for Jewish Work-At-Home-Moms. (Our calendar is very different & we could discuss what the Torah says about business, as well as motherhood. There is a lot out there for CWAHMs -- but NOTHING for us!) But I have been reluctant to take on another large product.

But I love what you guys said about "Everyone is entitled to their own blog" I am now considering a "Jewish Work At Home Mom Blog" -- I could start it, start building list and see what kind of response I get...

Thanks for making me think! I was great to hear my thoughts and experiences validated!
