This week I get to catch up with my friend and Virtual Assistant, Tishia Lee and let you all know about a new project that we’re kicking off next Monday.
48 Days to a Better You is your chance to focus on something you’d like to improve about yourself or your life. It can be about business (I’ll be offering a special coaching package for those who want to) but it doesn’t have to be.
Maybe you want to focus on eating better (like me), exercising more (like Tishia), reading more, watching TV less or just about anything. If it will lead to you feeling better about yourself or enjoying life more, you should go for it with us!
Listen to learn more about the project!

OMG – I am loving this show an I will be joining in on the 48 Days to a better you challenge/mission. I have 2 things that i want to do and perhaps joining in on this will actually help make them a habit.
I want to meditate/pray daily – no excuses – Not a one!!
I also want to…..
Cut back on the junk food! Yes, I am a junk food junkie and I am on board to limit that.
Whoot whoot!! I can’t wait to start with you laides
Great show ladies!
Looking forward to the 48 Days. Still trying to figure out what my 48 Day goals are going to be. If I calculated correctly this will end April 2nd. My b-day is April 1st so this will be a cool little gift to myself. Maybe I can get hubby on board too. Will let you know!
Oh and Kelly, I don’t like Cracker Barrel AT ALL Ewwwww! LOL
Being involved in a community, church or otherwise, is so important. Not just for WAHMs but for anyone. Humans need community. As to volunteering, I do some volunteering and it gets me out of my comfort zone and I try to pick volunteering that fits into my business. I am building two wordpress sites for two different local non profit organizations. So that fits right in with my schedule and you can still be “alarm free”.
Since I’m in school I won’t join the 48 day goal, but I think this is a really great idea! I think my next goal after I’m done with school is NOT to go to school anymore for a while!
I wanted to make one more comment about people not understanding about working online. I always tell women who are trying to work from home, but are frustrated that their spouse does not get it. I say “show them the money”. I know that is how I convinced my husband, my children, and my friends.
I didn’t brag, but I do mention paying off bills, and going on vacations etc… or not worried too much about my husband possibly being laid off… or putting tires on a car,… or like today having to pay for three doctors appointments plus meds in one day and nothing ever on credit.
That’s what working at home can do for people. The best word for it is, freedom!
My immediate reaction to any amount of days committment to something at this point was, oh no way!
But I like the idea of making it something that’s not “dieting”. That’s the one thing I tend to sabatoge if I add any pressure to it.
I’m going to really think about what you said in the podcast and find a way to love myself for 48 days. I’ll let you know what I decide. I’ll probably make it my Valentines Day post…
thanks.
Thanks for all the comments ladies! Aurelia and Angie it was great having you ladies on the podcast for the 48 days to a better me challenge. Stephanie – I had to giggle when I read your goal of not going to school for awhile once you get done but I can only imagine how it must be really hard working a home business, having a husband to ‘take care of’ and go to school!
And lastly before I end this comment I have to publicly apologize (not that she’ll ever see this) to my best friend. If anyone took what I said as making her sound like a non-understanding judgmental person that was not my intention and that’s the farthest from the truth.
Hi Kelly,
I love the show! I’m currently in the beginning stages of developing my online business. I’m thoroughly impressed with what you have accomplished and I’m striving to achieve just a little of that success :) Also I related to what you were saying about going to church. I realize that I’ve been more content and satisfied, although I still have struggles. This is all because I’ve become more active in my faith. Also in trying to build my business, I’m trying to establish relationships not and just thinking sells. I love your podcast and look forward to every episode!
I finally got to listen to this show and really resonated with the message about change, family, boredom, and stepping out. The boredom and social isolation that can be a problem with the WAHM also affects the SAHM. Forcing ourselves out of our easy routine to be more social is important!
